  1. Jun 21,  · I came across a Japanese mono compilation LP titled "Film Collection Volume 1 ," which includes a mono version of "Sympathy For The Devil." I'm wondering whether this is the mix that is on the mono "Beggars' Banquet." I noticed that the piano was almost buried in the mix. Does anyone have both the mono BB and this collection?
  2. Ah, ’s “Beggar’s Banquet” from the Rolling Stones was one of those albums I didn’t discover until much later in my life, but what an opening song “Sympathy for the Devil” is! The only thing I’m not too hot on is Richard’s guitar solo which seems painfully out of place for some odd reason (at least to me).
  3. Uploaded since some comments below - Top of the Pops for 29 January , probably the first min show (excluding Christmas and year-end specials), with Rare Bird third on, at about in. It's a well-above average show with Blodwyn Pig on first, plus Badfinger, Jethro Tull, Arrival (all in TOTP studio), Chicago and Canned Heat among others.

  5. Sympathy for the Devil is a brilliant look at the war in Vietnam as seen through the eyes of one very literate Special Forces soldier. Like the war itself, it's a nasty, brutish, profane examination of the way in which men approach combat and at the ways in which it affects and transforms them/5(56).
  6. WARNING: HIGH SEXUAL CONTENT. The story is very unique, with a lot of thought and research put into the anatomy of each monster. It's amazing how the author considered the unique characteristics of each monster to form their unique personalities and backstories. I really respect that after so many monsters, each one feels refreshing and unique.
  7. Sympathy For The Devil by Brian Jones. A sensible, sensation-free study of a driven musician. Record Collector is the world's leading authority on rare and collectable records.
